Our 'Couples Only' Cabin in Thornton in the Lockyer Valley, QLD is a perfect weekend destination.
The Cabin features an enclosed patio, full kitchenette, luxury bathroom, outdoor firepit, numerous alfresco eating and seating areas, large top deck, chill out areas, twin outdoor hot baths .... all surrounded in rustic charm and amazing views.

About 'The Cabin'
After three years of renovation, 'The Cabin, Ghost Gum Gully', a former tiny home, finally opened to guests in December 2024. Located in Thornton QLD in the heart of the scenic Lockyer Valley. Our special couples only Cabin, is the perfect little nature escape for those wishing to enjoy a little peace and privacy in a rural setting. Nestled on our 30 acre property, The Cabin offers a unique and secluded stay.
Think wildlife, rolling hills, nature and just being together !
Reconnect with each other at The Cabin, Ghost Gum Gully. A romantic couples only escape in the Lockyer Valley where you can soak up the sweeping valley views, spot local wildlife, and watch breathtaking sunsets from this private retreat.
Whether you are celebrating an anniversary, planning a romantic proposal, or simply craving a peaceful kid-free getaway, our couples only Cabin offers you the perfect place to unwind, relax, and recharge.
We also cater for Micro Weddings/Elopements/Engagements. Provision is for up to 15 guests. Packages include accommodation for 2 or 3 nights for Bride and Groom only (or special Couple) venue for a day, and guests from $50 per head.

The Cabin is ideal for two, but we can accommodate up to four guests with a comfortable queen size sofa bed available.
As much as we love kids and pets, The Cabin is an adults only retreat, and we have a No Pets, No Kids, No Judgement policy.

Our Cabin experience was a gift to myself to celebrate my 60th, but was the gift that kept giving......it had such charm and is built with love and passion and an eye for recycled and repurposed like we had never expected. My birthday became a micro event with with a girls lunch for 12 on the deck and a family photoshoot and live music the following day. Our stay was exceptional.
